Objectives and Aim
The primary professional organization with the original title “Athens Association of Commercial Agents” (AACA) was founded in 1932 by combining two pre-existing unions, the “Agents Association of Foreign Industrial and Commercial Houses” (Founded 1928) and “Agents Union of Industrial and Trading Houses” (Founded 1930), with the aim of:
a) The preservation, study and promote the common economic, social and professional interests of its members.
b) Development of spirit of esprit de corps among the members of the Association and a better field of commercial import and export businesses for the Agents.
c) Assistance to the professional work of members of the Association and to safeguard the legitimate interests and their guidance by the Association for cooperation and consultation in the performance of their profession.
d) The intervention of the Association at the request of interested members to seek amicable solutions to disputes that arise in the exercise of their profession, either by their principals Houses or by merchants with whom they trade, whether between members of the Association.
e) The establishment of a School for Commerce Agents or otherwise delivered courses for training those who wish to practice as a commercial agent for import and export. It may also organize educational programs for the training of members and officials of their offices, seminars or lectures, workshops and conferences to continually update its members.
f) Updating members on professional issues through the “Information Bulletin Magazine”.
g) To participate in overlying organizations, as in similar international and regional associations.
